I take time to get to know my clients – to get them to relax, let loose and have fun. This is how I create images that capture who they are – and how they relate to each other. There is often an intimate, soulful element to my images which can only come when my clients are comfortable to express themselves around me and in front of my camera.

My style is also committed to quality and a great customer experience, which my studio team and I work hard together to deliver. Read on to find out more about the session, consultations, prints and tips on preparation.

the session

Sessions can be done either in studio or on location, or at your home using natural light.  Sessions last around 60 minutes, with more time allowed for newborns. Regular studio hours are weekdays 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.  We recommend morning sessions since people are fresher at that time – though some location sessions need to be scheduled two hours before sunset for best light. For children under the age of 5 years we strongly encourage morning sessions.

Session fees are as follows for MONDAY through FRIDAY 9AM to 4PM:

-      Studio :  $195,  after 4pm $245

-      Location / Home Study :   $245,  after 4pm (late afternoon/sunset sessions) $295

-      SF Beach Sessions : $295,  after 4pm (late afternoon/sunset) $345

Session fee includes photographer’s time only. Weekend sessions are only available when purchasing our “Sweet Saturday” Collection for $1200, which includes a 90-minute session with up to 6 people and $800 credit to spend on prints and print products.

For location and home studies travel fees may apply for distance greater than 30 minutes from the studio (this fee is already built into the SF beach sessions). A non-refundable $100 retainer is due at the time of booking and will be credited towards your session fee.

consultations

Your session fee includes a 30 minute pre-consultation to plan your session, as well as a 90 minute post consultation at the studio to view your images, look at various print product options and place your order with Anna’s suggestions and recommendations to help you meet your portrait goals. There is an option for an online ordering as well.

PRE-CONSULTATION – PLANNING YOUR SESSION
This is a 30 minute get-together for discussing style of photography, personalities, portrait goals, clothing, hair, make-up, session options, etc. Preferably done in studio, this meeting can also happen over the phone usually one week before your session.

POST-CONSULTATION – VIEWING AND ORDERING YOUR IMAGES
Seven to ten days after your session you will come into the studio to view the artist collection proof set as a slideshow large on the wall. Then together we will pick out your favorites, look at design options and discuss ordering options. Please plan ahead and bring any necessary information for your portrait goals – such as wall measurements for wall portraits, lists of relatives for gift portraits, your text for note cards, custom albums, etc. This is a child-free appointment (newborns are ok) so that the 90 minutes we spend together is focused and not rushed. All purchasing decisions will be made at this meeting. If you are not able to place your order by the end, a second consultation is available for a fee of $150. Some evening appointments are available for post-consultations.

ONLINE ORDERING
While we highly recommend coming in to view your images and place your order with Anna in studio, some clients have requested the ability to place their order online. Online galleries are available with the following caveats:
- there is a minimum order of $500 required for online galleries. This amount is due at the time of the session and will be credited towards your order.
- the gallery will be posted 2 to 3 weeks after the session
- the gallery will be up for one week only
- if decisions are not made in that one week, there is a charge of $75 to put the gallery back up for an additional three days.
- any images not ordered 30 days from the posting of the gallery will be purged.

prints & products

All prints are produced at a professional lab and include retouching and finishing to last for generations. Images are printed on a variety of archival media – from lustre and metallic papers to watercolor and canvas.

Most clients spend between $500 and $1800 on our custom prints and designer albums. We also offer fabulous framed wall art products, beautiful custom designed albums, sterling silver jewelry and custom note cards. For your convenience, we accept cash, check and credit cards. Payment plans are available with 25% down and a credit card on file for monthly payments to be completed within 6 months.

digital media

We are asked all the time if we have packages that include the digital files. The answer is yes we do – but first we need to state for the record : We think digital files are great, but beautiful, archival professional prints last for generations. The truth is there can be a vast difference between prints produced at a consumer lab and retouched, enhanced files printed at a professional lab along with our studio to quality check the results. That being said, we offer many different ways to purchase the digital media in low, medium and high resolution formats – for personal or commercial usage.
